Quoting a few lines here and there is ok - it's called 'fair use'. You should put it between ...... tags

Hi,
An interesting entry. My only comment is related to the contraction it's. To show possession with it, the word is its. It's is a contraction of it is and should only be used where it's can be replaced by it is.
I saw a couple of spots where "it's" needs to be replaced with its.
Other than that, looks good.

It appears that Cosby is the conversion http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Foot_in_the_Grave
I seem to recall David Renwick (writer of "One Foot in the Grave") said they rewrote it so much he wondered why they bought it (or words to that effect)

Right, I know I'm probably getting annoying now, but here is another series that transferred across the atlantic, also taking one of the UK cast with it. Just might be useful for illustration.

Dear all,
I have (finally) updated this guide entry.
It now contains HEAPS more information about several of the programmes, and includes them on a seperate page to the main one.
(I can't quite get the link to work properly yet, but the "address" for the new entry is included on the mian page of this entry.)
I hope it's somehow better, and I welcome your comments, advice and thoughts.
Best wishes in advance,
Lance

Good Morning to you.
No no, you haven't put me off at all, sir. I'm just putting the finishing details (and researching) for the "Gameshows" section.
Just so you know what my plans are next, I might also include a footnote about American programmes that have been remade over here in the UK (Golden Girls, Who's the Boss?) and so on.
I'm aware of several (rather poor) grammatical and spelling errors in the current article, and plan to go back and sort these out once all three are up and online. There's also a minor mistake in that I've credited the character "Jo" as appearing in Three's Company, but in the US version her name was actually changed to "Janet".
Within the next two days I should have the Gameshow section up, and following that will be the 'complete list' and other items that don't readily fit into any other catagory.
Cheers .

Glad I haven't put you off
I'm looking forwar to seeing the next two sections, this looks like it could end up as a really good set of entries.
Just a quick question, is Cracker going in section 3?
Oh and it might be worth mentioning that As If has the extra selling point of being editted to fit music, rather than music being editted to fit the program. It was just a distinction I heard mentioned that seemed important.

The author is three days away from having left the building - do we think flea market or back to entry for this one?

Oh, FM definately. It would be a shame to see all the work on this entry wasted.
