Hi Amy, and thanks for that.
I don't know who the other reader is. I think they prefer to remain anonymous..
Though, that said, I seem to be picking up a few readers now. Someone has even asked to read the archive. I shall have to go and thank them.

Hmm... yes, well maybe 'two' is a little inaccurate.
I wonder how many readers I actually have?
You know, maybe I should write a grunt all about this, and then politely ask, or even demand, that anyone who has read it write a comment - even just an 'X' - so I can make an estimate. Yes, I could make it a kind of sociological experiment... and I have two whole weeks to think about this... Hmmm..

I am not a regular reader, I'm afraid, but this is simply because the insane jealousy that consumes the entirety of my being on encountering talent of this magnitude is probably very bad for me. My hair turns an unusual colour, my life develops 'to be continued' captions and I am even less pleasant to be around than usual.
Nice one Doc.

Ah, but has he managed to achieve the full set of Amys?

Hm... I'll have to ask Amy+, if I've ever time... (We're still really the only active Amys, though there's been some additions that only fit because I've stretched the definitions somewhat)

Ten...(which is X, thereby proving that I even read the backthread)
It's also about the number of times I've tapped a reply to your stuff, Grunt or otherwise, and "returned to the Conversation without saying anything". Reason? My repartee is a pale facsimile. That and insane jealousy.
I hope you know that you're among the finest here. I guess you probably do.
(Shall I actually post this one? Awww...go on then)

Oh dear, I'm all a fluster now, like Gyneth Paltrow trying to thank the pizza delivery boy...
Thanks everyone. I didn't expect all this.
To the mighty Pin - your repartee is not a pale fascimile, and what's more, you can spell fascimillie properly, and I also spend a fair deal of time haunting your own works. Betcha didn't know that.
As for who'se the finest here - well, I always look for counsel in this vale of uncertain tears - to the wise words of Telly Savalas, in his brilliant song "If":
"Do not compare yourself to others, for you shall become vain and bitter"
Or something like that. And Telly really meant it. I mean, look at him. I bet he must have been really tempted to at least compare himself with someone. Or even just someone's pet or their letterbox or anything. But he never did - and so - I follow.

I'm already vain and bitter. I don't suppose Telly tells you what to do as well as what not to do?
*mumbles incoherently about how he hates music*

I believe he found comfort in lollipops.
