I am happy to report that I have never had a serious accident/ injury in my life, I've had a few close calls though, one of these incedents that warrants retelling is as follows At twelve I got knocked off my bike by a 17 tonne lorry,into the path of an oncomming car, which swerved to avoid me,hit a lampost,which fell down, demolishing a garden wall and subsequently blocking a main road for two hours at the height of rush hour. My injuries? bruised pride and a hole in my school trousers.
