A Conversation for Talking Point: Accidents and Disasters
Accident Prone? Guilty as charged...

I have only fractured on bone in my body on several occasions - my skull.
The first time I was about 11, my sister was slicing bread and my mum was washing up. My sister lopped off the top of her finger, I fainted and hit my the back of my head on the larder step. So mummy had to go to hospital with a concussed kid and one child short of half a digit.
Riding a horse, the saddle wasn't tied properly. As I swivelled to the side I hit a tree. That *really* hurt.
Cycling in the south of France and I went straight into a road sign. This was the most embarassing as they shaved my head and gave me a tubi grip to put over it. I looked like a knob with ears. An itchy knob at that because when the hair started to regrow the itching was incessant.
