A Conversation for The h2g2 Monty Python Fan (Pythonist) Society
I want to be in the Society!
cupati Posted Mar 31, 2006
*attempts to remember all the lyrics*
Just re-memer that you're standing on a planet thats evolving
And revollving at 900 miles an hour
Thats 15 miles a minute around the sun
that is the source of all our power
The sun and you and me and all the stars that you can see
Are ------? at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm of the galaxy we call the milky way...
I think.
*checks site* *has done terribly, even forgot a verse* oh well.
I want to be in the Society!
xxx Posted Mar 31, 2006
that's about correct, I think
congrats on the memory!
Don't want to spoil your fun, but if you really wanted to, you could look it up on the Internet. Or in the little booklet that goes with the CD...

*note to self: must remember to read ALL of a posting*

You're close - They're available on the site I posted above. I can't post the first verse due to copyright law (read "inflexibility") - and I don't want anyone to sue this website!

xxx Posted Apr 1, 2006
They would sue?
Reminds me of some of my mischief of last week at w*rk.
We're launching a new service to our customers, and I created (as a joke) a variation on the central poem of LOTR ("One Ring to..."), and sent the whole thing to my Boss.
He: You're crazy!
Me: Thank you, that is the biggest compliment you could make me!
He: Ok, welcome to the Crazy Men's Club!
I want to be in the Society!
Nick_Em (not_him) Posted Apr 4, 2006
I would like to join (but maybe am underage)
This copyright warning has been levelled to the Poetry conversation thread - they might not sue, but it may tread on somebody's toes (It's a shame, really) But I guess it's fair that we don't show works of art without artists' permission.

Hrmm...
*Shrugging*
Lenore...
Quoth a raven... "Doesn't work".
Oy, you cut that out!
*Chases at the mangy thing with a [insert fun wooden object-implement thingy] here...
I want to be in the Society!
xxx Posted Apr 13, 2006
Nick_em: that sounds suspiciously like someone from my company to whom I told that story...
Now go back to work and stop monitoring your boss!

Thorn Posted Apr 13, 2006
[sentry]: "Okie, I weel tell him, but I do not think he is going to like eet..."
[Arthur]: "What?"
<- or something like that...
That's one of the parts in Quest for the Holy Grail, that I like.
Well , so it might just all have been just meant to gear up for the use of siege engines and what have you?

have i been enrolled yet.is this the argument department?
I want to be in the Society!
Nick_Em (not_him) Posted May 4, 2006
You can't have an argument until you pay.
$5 for a one minute argument and $10 for a five-minute argument.
I want to be in the Society!
xxx Posted May 11, 2006
But I just paid!
(I did not write that you _are_ that person. Besides, apparently some people do not write the truth about themselves in their PS - or anything at all )
I want to be in the Society!
Nick_Em (not_him) Posted May 14, 2006
*pockets money* No you didn't!
Yes, truth-telling - one must be wary of that
I want to be in the Society!
Nick_Em (not_him) Posted May 21, 2006
No you didn't! I simply refuse to argue with you until you pay $5.
