This is one of the reasons why I don't like reviewing your entries, Opti. I make a whole load of suggestions and soon afterwards you post a message saying "Sorted" or "Changed". But you've only done some of the changes I suggested. I don't want to have to read the whole thing again and check which ones you've done. It's your job as the author to make the changes or to explain that you're not going to do them, and if not, why not.

My last post was in connection to my post just before re: grammatical/spelling errors
As I said before I am yet to sort out the history section properly

And what about my posting 157, part 2? This is what I mean. When an author says that things are sorted, should we have to trawl through every single change we've suggested to see if she meant that one?

In what way? You didn't change the offending sentence, so how can you have addressed the point?

What strikes you about the following, Opti?
"Humans are a type of ape that are bipedal and can grow up to 8 foot 11.1 inches in height."

No, the problem is that while what I said is true (the biggest person ever was in fact 8 foot 11 inches), it doesn't give you any idea of how big a human is.
In the same way, saying that lemons are round fruit which grow up to a foot in size doesn't give the reader any idea of how big a normal lemon is. That's why I asked you to change that bit, and why I am puzzled that you didn't do it but seem to think that you did.

Apologies I have been updating when tired and thus adhering to part 2 of posting 158. Not 157. I have now updated 157 part 2.

The lemons in my fruit bowl are 10cms (4") and 8cms (3") in length so I'd agree with that change Fruitilicious Opti

I love sherbet lemons .
That was a pointless post, brought to you by laconian, to remind him to read through this entry properly when he is feeling less lazy.

"can measure up to 4 inches (11 cm)long" -- Are you saying now that lemons never grow bigger than 11 cm? Was it not true about the 30 cm? Please don't change the entry until we've actually talked about this point.

oh dear what a muddle I don't think that there can be an exact lemon size ever.

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Sep 4, 2006
That's why I suggest you don't say "Up to 4 inches", because that means they never grow bigger than 4 inches. I suggest you say that they are typically about 4 inches (11cm) in size.

It's much tidier and better-presented, but the 5 varieties of lemon are in bold capitals - and shouldn't be. Change them to bold, small-case (except for the first letter of the variety)
Some subheaders have full-stops which need to go.
This has been a long hard slog but worth it in the end. Over and out.
Key: Complain about this post
