I want to be a member, me, me, me! My entry should read:
- founder - hates the awful tag
What do you mean it already does and I only wrote this as an example to any applicants that may drop by? Oh, I'm right, I did!
I'm considering copying the fine 'badge' of ARS to use with ViTH as soon as I get some members, and a motto. Come on people! The entry's been up for minutes already!

Can mine be suffixed 'a mass of contradictions' since I am a member, but I also use the dreaded tag.
Why not put something on your space saying "Hi if you think this is addressed to you it isn't - check Anumber for details" or simlar?

Please list me among the ranks as U162344.
I am of at least two minds on this whole issue.
I am preconditioned to hate 'personalised' messages from years of reading form letters. These 'personalised' communications from mail order houses and other subscription services are of course intended to be friendly and comfortingingly familiar. But they have always exactly had the opposite effect on me. Does anyone appreciate being greeted by name by strangers with something to sell who think you are dumb enough to believe it is a truly personal message?
And I have to admit to having a bit of the in my
when it comes to online opportunities to flame people safely and with impunity. I always enjoy a bit of fun and rough house banter. But since no one ever gets to hear or see the resulting reactions it is about as satisfying as landmines. No glory, no honour, no victory, no real joy is to be had, just a lingering and growing guilt that some innocent has been hurt by it.

I'll reserve the word *hate* for more serious matters
I have a hunch that like any new toy the novelty will wear off and in the meantime I'll stay here, sitting on the fence - sore bum/great view etc
Actually, that could be my tag-line
- sitting on the fence - sore bum/great view etc
~j~, I feel that the land-mine analogy << No glory, no honour, no victory, no real joy is to be had >> is just a tad over-the top
At least this *weapon* allows the *victim* to retaliate

Three members in one day, an excellent start. Since it appears I'm the only 'hater' so far (I never use the word 'hate' for serious matters, since I think it should never be used in anything but jest), I have changed the name of the association, and I hope that will not cause anyone to give up their membership.
_We_ are now the Viewer-Tag Annoyance League (ViTAL), which is actually nicely ambigous. I've also hammered together a 'badge' for those who like that kind of thing.

Heya NAITA,
I'll join
i ran into the tag just a week or 2 ago for the first time, and was
aghast. I was on a page of something i was considering joining, and then I saw my name was already there! *gasp* You say "but they put it there to try and coax new people to join.
So my tag should read: Aghast at this manipulative tag

Yeh. Sign me up. I'll use the darn thing anyway, simply to annoy
~jwf~, since you are of at least two minds on this, have one of them considered joining ViSA? -- A1015084

A hearty welcome to the new members, and a to ViSA.
I've recommended that anyone with love hate relationships with 'the tag' join your crowd as well. To even things out.

I'm a sucker for membership-requests, I'll sign up even those who openly admit loving the tag. Welcome Kat.

Ah, so the Viewer Tag Annoyance League welcomes those who are annoyed *by* the tag as well has those who use the tag *to* annoy such people.

Naturally.
And some ViTALers even join the opposition, ViSA, A1015084, just to be even *more* annoying

I got 11 responses from a viewer tag I had on my personal space. I did away with it yesterday, and hate the damned thing. I'm at U201497
