This is based on the 11th episode of the original Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio series. It says that the Guide says nothing about what to do in this particular situation. I decided to remedy that.
Or alternately, perhaps the Guide doesn't, but the Spaced-Out Guide can!

In my experience, planets which you have personally created are reluctant to acknowledge you in any way. Its only the seriously rebellious inhabitants who build statues to you, and the 'righteous' have a habit of tearing them down. Don't let this discourage you! On other planets (which you've probably never visited until dispair buys you a ticket) the statues can be as high as the gravity allows. This makes you colossal fun to be with at parties.
