Congratulations! The Red Sox have 86'd the curse...86 years after it began. They are finally champions once more, and beat the Yankees in the playoffs and the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series to do it.
Unfortunately, if they lose in the future, they can no longer blame it on getting rid of The Babe.
