A Conversation for The Caesarean Section

Not much comfort here!

I had my little boy by emergency section last year after 'failing to progress' through an induced labour. We had some terrible complications which meant I lost 3.5 litres of blood, and very nearly died.

Now expecting #2 and the midwife thinks my chances of a successful vbac are slim. I am starting to resign myself to the thought that I will have to have an elective section this time and hoped for a little bit of positive information about having a major surgery I don't really want.

And can I just say - I *HATE* the term 'too posh to push'. If I have been (jokingly) told I'm that once I have been told a thousand times - and every single time I want to reply that I'm not too posh, I'm just a failure when it comes to natural childbirth. smiley - steam

I think I will ask h2g2 and turn the resulting thread into an entry because I am sure the community will have some good advice on planning a positive section.
