#12: Ruined Abbey
Created | Updated Nov 12, 2017
This photo comes from the h2g2 Post's collection of submissions to Create's November project. We'll be posting a photo a day for the month of November.
Ruined Abbey
This is what Superfrenchie called 'a broken abbey' in Normandy. More beauty among the ruins. There's a stillness in this photo, and it points to things that last.
It puts me in mind of Thomas Gray:
Save that from yonder ivy-mantled tow'r
The moping owl does to the moon complain
Of such, as wand'ring near her secret bow'r,
Molest her ancient solitary reign.
Best wishes on Remembrance Sunday, Brits!
