Indoor/Outdoor Pursuits
The other day, I saw a video about a tour guide who was swallowed by a hippo. He lived to tell the hair-raising tale. Malabarista, Elektra, and I – who all have tour-guiding experience – agreed that we'd rather face a busload of German tourists. Apparently, hippopotamuses, er, hippopotami, whatever, hippos are quite deadly. In this issue of the Post, Willem introduces us to the cute little Pygmy Hippo. At only 400-500 pounds, it's quite diminutive. Willem assures us that it's not known to snack on humans. So enjoy your visit to our virtual zoo.
This week, our theme is activity, both of the indoor and outdoor variety. Awix is in the dark, as usual, watching the Big Screen. benjaminpmoore is in the indoor/outdoor world of care. Geggs and Amy are in cyberspace, collecting quotes from persons of the h2g2 persuasion. Willem's out there in nature, and the Prof and I are out to lunch.
The Post welcomes its newest contributor, Auntie Winnie. Auntie's indoors, in her magical kitchen. Whether this kitchen is located in this or a parallel universe is something we'll let the reader decide. We believe the recipes from her Gravy Train will put us on the culinary map. Probably out there where it says, 'Here be dragons.'
