In-line skates are so 19th-century.
The message in this advert is clear: wheels are better than runners. The lovely lady is skating happily around on her Patin bicyclettes, while the dorky fellow has fallen on the ice.
But wait! This was in 1896. They had in-line skates in 1896? Who knew?
