June, She'll Change Her Tune No, that is not how you react to the news that this is the Post's 500th edition. For that, you jump up and down and get excited. You exclaim, 'Wow! This venerable web publication has been in business since the LAST MILLENNIUM. How do they do it?'
The answer, of course, is sheer genius.
No, not ours. I think I speak for all Post Teams, past and present, when I point out that the success of the h2g2 Post is entirely due to over a decade of brilliant contributions by h2g2 Researchers, all of whom have fascinating stories to tell, and artistic talent that they are kind enough to share with the universe at large. Long may it be so.
The lazy people in the picture remind me of you all this week, only because it comes to my ears here in the US subtropics that you've been having a heat wave in some parts of your otherwise refrigerated set of islands. I'm hearing stories about 'Irish strength' sunblock and heat exhaustion caused by being out in weather above 20 degrees Centigrade. Bear up, it'll soon rain again.
In the meantime, break out the picnic food, head for the mountains, lake, or beach. Take some music along. This issue's got some suggestions from our indefatigable party planners.
Bel's got some thoughts on the Post milestone, Cactuscafe, Willem, and Anthea have art, and. . . well, I'll just leave you to it.
Enjoy, and don't overheat!
