The 2011 h2g2 Booker Prize
Created | Updated Sep 18, 2011
An intrepid band of researchers are set out to read the shortlist for the Booker Prize. By the end we'll be able to tell the panel which book they should have picked.
Are you ready to help us?
All you need to do is read some, or all, of the shortlisted books and post your opinions in one of the threads off this page.
Which books are these?
- Julian Barnes: The Sense of an Ending
- Carol Birch: Jamrach’s Menagerie
- Patrick deWitt: The Sisters Brothers
- Esi Edugyan: Half Blood Blues
- Stephen Kelman: Pigeon English
- A D Miller: Snowdrops
The local library doesn't stock them, and I can't afford to buy them.
Don't Panic: we may be able to help. Two of us have purchased all the books on our kindles, so we can loan out electronic copies to other researchers. Each purchased copy can only go to one other person at a time, and then only for 2 weeks. You'll need to download the kindle app for your PC and get an amazon account.
