A Conversation for RP - Received Pronunciation

Oh I say, this is quite the spiffy little bit, eh, wot!
Must say, however, I find your lack of concern that the mother tongue is wagging freely without restraint of regard for form just a tad bit disconcerting.
But, I have no doubt that Auntie Beeb still administers a 'pronunciation test' to all applicants for 'on-air' positions. So we can rest assured that some 'control standards', however gentle, are still being applied.

As if your you'd let your tongue get tied, jay dub,
This was actually one of the very first things i wrote on h2, when i discovered the site in Sept 01 - i only recently decided to put them up for PR, and i'm not sure i ever *really* finished it (or the other 2 linguistics pieces). Jack Naples deservers considerable credit for the subbing job, in fact.
gotta see you this pm about the CACkle Chrimble Cracker...

I'm out and about for the remainder of this day, but if you do have something to add I'm sure Shazz will insert it, if you can get it to her pronto.
