No = Iie, not Iee.

Also, if I remember correctly, Arigatou is the correct spelling, not Arigato, as the u lengthens the o sound.

Also, yon is used more often than shi to mean 4, as shi also means death.

Too true. I must have been a little lax on my editing.

As for the lengthened vowel sounds, they just add complexity. As it was I had to explain too much in the intro, so explaining that "tou" is lengthened, and isn't actually pronounced "toe" was scrapped. I know it's important in distinguishing sounds, but I can live with it.

"Please" may be "Onegai Shimasu".
"Kudasai" is definitely "Give it to me" never "Please".
"What?" is "Nani" not "Nan".

T.B. Falsename ACE: [stercus venio] I have learned from my mistakes, and feel I could repeat them exactly.

"Kudasai" is definitely "Give it to me" never "Please".

Kudasai would be more acurately "May I have" and so can mean please in the sense of 'Your attention, please' or 'One moment please'. You can say "One moment please" as "Chotto matte kudasai" which more litterally translates to "Little wait may I have"

smiley - cheers
