My 5 Favourite Edited Entries

• As a huge fan of the Shipping Forecast, I had to pick the entry
  on The Fastnet Rock, County Cork, Ireland. Now
  when I hear the announcer say 'Lundy, Fastnet, Irish Sea. East or northeast
  backing north 3 or 4. Mainly fair. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.' I
  will know where he is talking about.

• With the World Cup coming up, it is vital that you understand The Offside Rule in Football. That way you can
  bad-mouth the referee's decisions in the full knowledge you won't have the
  rip taken out of you.

• As a seasoned commuter, I know that it is vital to know your Public Transport Etiquette. If you need to brush up on
  it, this superb collaborative entry will mean you never put a foot
  wrong.

• We all need our little rituals, whether it is touching something for
  luck or just the order in which we make a cup of tea. This is a delightful
  little entry on Spells and Customs for Achieving
  Happiness. I hope it works for you.

• How Hair Played an Important Role in
  Evolution is a quirky entry that will provide you with a great
  anecdote to amaze your friends and impress your parents.

Community Choice

Here are my choices of cool things to do on h2g2:

• This weekend sees the latest in a series of fantastic Scottish Meet-ups. So if you are in the Edinburgh
  area, why not pop along and put some faces to some names?

• Being a parent is difficult and sometimes we all need a shoulder to
  lean on. The h2g2 Parent and Child Group aims to
  provide that support and advice from other parents. If you are a new parent
  or are experienced in the ways of rugrats, click on the link.

• Last week's Talking Point was on Pet
  Ownership and produced some very interesting thoughts on our family

Here are conversations that made me Ask
h2g2:

• Enormous bosoms are a
  subject that everyone seems to have an opinion on. If you have got them, you
  generally want to get rid of them. If you don't have them, you think you are
  missing out. And that is just the views of women...

• The Community have been discussing what they think of the BBC's News 24 channel. What do you reckon
  to the news coverage?

• With the UK Local Elections out of the way, Reseachers have been
  addressing the many issues that came out of the results. Join them in the
  entertainingly titled Directly Elected
  Mayors - the Monkey Issue.

• Are you a Mini fanatic?
  Can't get enough of those fantastic little cars? The Researchers involved in
  this conversation can't.

• As we grow older, we find beliefs and opinions that we held when we
  were younger, change radically. Recanting
  - or growing older and wiser is a conversation that looks at things
  that we once and no longer believe in.
