Michele - Doily Mogul: Don't leave me! If you go there'll be no braincells in the room at all!

Hi! I'm Michele, and I've been assigned to sub-edit this entry. (waves at Sir Evilroy) Anything you want to add last minute before I have a go at it? I won't make any changes (other than correcting typo's, etc. without asking you first. I try to leave everything as original as possible. Should I have any questions, I will holler! smiley - ok

You'd better change the "protect" to "defend" so that six7's doesn't cross the Tasman to beat me up....

WooHoo, Michele.

::waves frantically to get Michele's attention::

Could you possibly change the beers listed under "Western Australia" to "Redback, Little Creatures Pale Ale or Emu Export"??

No problem ER! smiley - hug

Have been swamped - so I hope to knock this thing out this weekend! I'm sure that due to the length of the entry - the italics will probably want it split into several entries. I am in the process of checking with them. Again - I will let you guys know of any proposed changes...

What?? Split it?? No, no, no, no ,no, no, no.

If it has to lose some length, kill the final bit about Australian country towns, but please try and talk the italics out of splitting it up.smiley - grovel

Nooooooooooooo! I've seen plenty of entries that are this length or longer. ER's article is a classic! Please! For the love of Bob ... don't! smiley - sadface

This article made me laugh out loud, taught me a heck of a lot about Australia and its inhabitants, as well as making me wander aimlessly in thirst of a Boags (a cruel trick on the part of the author). Besides, it's really smiley - cool.

Please! I beg you, Michele ... don't cut it into pieces! smiley - grovel Should this travesty occur, I will lose my remaining faith in the goodness of mankind. smiley - sadface

Howdy,
The entry on Brisbane has also been recommended, so the link should now point to:

Yes of course you are allowed to say that! When I forward it to the editors I will ask that they leave it in one piece. I will update all that you have posted above. Still working on this - will be done soon however! You guys have done a spectacular job on this entry! smiley - ok

Nora - back from the Dublin meet!

Great entry!

I agree - all this talk about beer makes me wonder what I'm missing. I love the closing song.

Washington, D.C. was decided in a similar way to Canberra: the contenders were Philadelphia and New York. In this case, though, it wasn't a sheep farm - it was swamp.

Well done - not least for keeping it whole!

Yay!!

BTW, the closing song is never likely to be heard on the world stage. It was written by an evil and bored person sitting in a hotel room in Bicheno as the rain pelted down outside his door.
