A Conversation for The Subtle Art of Sulking
Cheerful Dragon Started conversation May 1, 2002
A woman's room (usually her bedroom) used to be known as her 'boudoir'. This word derives from the French 'bouder', meaning 'to pout'. The room was literally a 'pouting-room', as it was the room where a woman retreated to when she had a fit of the sulks.
