Dublin buses have two doors, one at the front and one at the middle of the bus. Officially the front door is for getting on and the middle door for getting off. Don't be fooled by this. The middle door is never opened. You must get off by the front door, despite the signs saying otherwise.
It is fairly common in Dublin to thank the bus driver as you leave the bus.

My experiences of Dublin buses have been poor!!
Managed to be in Dublin when the Taxi strikes were on a few years back.Blooming awful. It was my pals first trip over and although I had warned her that it was bad.....phew!
It felt like a moshpit!!Mad!

What's a moshpit? Many Dublin Bus routes have improved in the last couple of years because they have introduced "quality" bus lanes, which means ones that do not have cars parked in them. The buses fly along these. But many other routes are as bad as ever, taking an hour to cover five miles.

A moshpit? The mental area of the crowd at concerts!!!
Yeah, I've experienced the buslane. NICE!
I also noticed the increase in New moped-scooter type things. Lots of cars had Moped-injuries in the form of big dents in their moulded bumpers!!!
