Here's some stuff about me....
I Like animals, gardening, dragonflies,Dragonlance books, housework(no...really)
I dislike newspapers, spiders, Tea-towels, aphids(see above!)parents who let their kids get fat, people who hurt my Upper arms.!
Memorable events in my life include being in St Patrick Day Parade in Dublin, caving at Cheddar Gorge, galloping for miles across the Downs in Oxfordshire.
Memorable events I'd rather not go through again are being rammed by Joyriders. Next day, the bus I was on, ran over an old lady and on arriving at work I GOT THE SACK!
I have a varied taste in music. Favourites include The Poozies, Old Blind Dogs, La Bouttine Sourante, Muse, Adam and the Ants, Marillion, Air, Genesis, Placebo.
Films I adore are Eat the Rich (Comic strip), Airplane, R.H.P.S
Favourite lyric is "If everytime we tell a lie, a little dies...They must be building Death Camps in the Garden".Twelth Night.
I love anything to do with Weather and Volcanoes.
The Meeting on the Turret Stairs" by FW Burton is my favourite painting.
If my house was on fire I'd grab my photo collection unless thats what is on fire.
Peace to all and please be kind to your pets!!!!

Here are my thoughts on Festival on the Loch.
The sleepy village of Lochwinnoch, not so far from Glasgow, had a Music Festival in May 2001, Festival on the Loch. Foot and Mouth restrictions meant the festival had to be moved to the local football fields - kind of blowing that name, somewhat.
It was to be a major event with wonderful acts and an impressive stage borrowed from the BBC. Acts included:- Horse with BBC SSO, Dougie MacLean with BBC SSO strings, Ossian, Kathryn Stott, Whistlebinkies, Niel Gow Ensemble, Trent(who????), Fedrico Mondelci, Salsa Celtica, Drumatic, Elphinstone, Rsamd Chamber Choir, Cappella Nova and many more......a wonderful firework display, coordinated with the BBC SSO,( provided by Pyrovision, who do the finale fireworks at the Edinburgh Festival) ended a great weekend.
For those who attended it was wonderful.
Unfortunately, due to a bad decision, the event was poorly advertised(hardly atall) and was a financial flop. The expected thousands didn't attend leaving Lochwinnoch with an abundance of security men and hotdog buns!!!
Shame!
Nice try, committee.
I expect ther is, literally, tens of you who have heard of Lochwinnoch but did any of you hear of our Festival.
I'd be interested to know.
