A Conversation for The Inventions of Thomas Alva Edison

Duplexed duplex?

Post 1

I don't understand the repeated reference to "duplex telegraph" in this sentence:

"The way Edison thought to achieve this was by combining the duplex telegraph (sending and receiving a message simultaneously on the same wire) and the duplex telegraph (sending or receiving two messages in the same direction on the same line)."

It's just a typo. The second one should be 'diplex'.
