A Conversation for The Answer To The Ultimate Question Of Life, The Universe, And Everything

I know why the question is 6 x 9

It is really quite simple and requires no philosophical reasoning or anything. The problem is quite mathematical, for anyone who has worked with computers (which i know DNA did) the switch between different "bases" of math becomes quite simplistic. So, to make a short story long, if we simply switch into base 13, we find that the answer to the ultimate question of life the universe and everything (what do you get when u multiply six by nine) is in fact the ultimate answer (42). So we see that there is nothing philosophical about this but it is a simple multiplication problem in an obscure and rarely used base.

this is true, but was not adams' intention, he openly admits that the number was selected randomly...

Direct quote:

The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. Binary representations, base thirteen, Tibetan monks are all complete nonsense. I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought '42 will do' I typed it out. End of story.

Douglas Adams

And life is full of random events... and we are constantly trying to figure out the "What if?" in these events...

can it be that 13 is the base on the magic cube
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_cube

and the magic cube
is the theory to everything that explains the 11 Dimensions in the M theory.
(well... as crazy as it is, this my theory)
0. circle of life
1. connection of 2 stars
2. your horoscope
3. 3D
4. time/space
5. a repository
6. parallel universe (what we understand as Underworld and Heaven =)
7. Infiniti
8. 2 infiniti crosses
9. TBD
10. TBD
