You're asking the wrong person. I don't wear any with my bike shorts. It tends to make you sweaty - oh, you noticed.

Very helpful, I'm a commuter cyclist and maybe I shud where proper cycling pants, but I couldn't cope with the embarrasment and would rather just suffer discomfort!

You can wear loose-fitting Rohan type trousers and padded underwear (you can get it from the CTC shop at http://www.ctc.org.uk - breathes sigh of relief at being able to post a URL!
