No not that darned tv programme ....

Do you, or anyone else, have any advice on how to stop my feet feeling like blocks of ice on winter rides?

I use neoprene overshoes and thick sports socks. You can get really good thermal socks from st john's street cycles (I can't tell you where on the web to find a UK company like SJS cycles, but you might be able to guess), though they're not cheap. The alternative is to buy a second, larger pair of cycling shoes and wear two pairs of socks.

Too tight shoes can give you cold feet as well as circulation problems. Getting your blood flowing better can help as well as the good advice re overshoes. Increasing your cadence will increase your core temp which with luck will pass to extremities. SJS is not the only place to look and certainly not the best priced. You can wiggle but they wont talk to you put a dot next to your bike and they'll answer the phone.
