The Average Joe No One EVER Suspects

"Did he ever return?
No! He never returned
And his fate is still unknown!
Oi! Oi! Oi!
May he ride forever 'neath the streets of Boston!
He's the skinhead who never returned!"

For what it's worth, the original version
of that song was made popular by the
Kingston Trio.

This is a very useful article, especially for
newcomers (students, etc.) to Boston. I
would love to have seen something
comparable thirty years ago, when I
first arrived in the Hub, but I got it
figured out. smiley - smiley.

Miao Kitty, I wish we had known about
your presence when the Northeast
Researchers were planning our
get-together scheduled for Nov. 11
in Manhattan. There are four of us
Boston-area researchers who have
also been trying to get together
somewhere in Boston or Cambridge,
That has not come off, but we're still
trying.

Cooper the Pacifist Poet

Hey, buddy, the Kingston Trio version wasn't the *original* version. It's an old campaign song, if you hadn't noticed from the lyrics. Originally a barbershop quartet.
