I too have sampled a large donner from what was then Stavros in Bath. I would agree it was one of the best I've ever had.
I was younger in those days, and in front of mates I too had to order the sauce with the skull and crossbones on the bowl. This of course rendered the kebab completely inedible, but that's beside the point. The stuff would actually sting the skin of your face, and it got EVERYWHERE.
The worst part was going for a pee and failing to my hands *first*. God that hurt.
