It's true...I got a puppy three months after my husband died. Remember bringing her home and thinking 'What have I done? She'll die too!' Which, of course, she will.

But she's been with me for 11 3/4 years now as the best friend and companion I could want. Seen me through another marriage, come with me to the USA, come home with me via six months in Spain. Greets me whenever I come home as if I were the light of her life. Which I suppose I am.

Yep. Get a dog. Real unconditional love (and furry cuddles). My Mum always said that you should do two things naked once in your life (apart from the obvious things like sex and bathing!).

1/ Swim in the sea naked.

2/ Cuddle a dog naked.

Soooo furry!

...heard a song on the radio the other day...

"I want to be the man my dog thinks i am."

one of the lines was :
"The later i get home, the happier he is..." etc.
