Still waiting for Opti to rewrite those three paragraphs about the second world war so that they follow on in the correct timeline.

Well when it comes to this war anyway.

All you have to do is make sure that the bits that are talking about before the war come before the bits talking about the war, and all of these should come before the bits talking about after the war.

Opti, since the rest of this Entry is ready to go into the Guide, and you seem reluctant to rewrite those three paragraphs on the war, I've done it for you.

Can you look at A1315496 and let me know if you're happy with what is there. If so, I'll put your Entry into the Guide with those three paragraphs instead of the existing ones. I'll then request a Front Page promotion for it.

Gnomon, where you have <> it needs to be "every year on 9 May the locals.."

Also, in the list of famous people, I think it's bad form to say "Roy Dotrice (1923- ), actor" because it looks like we're just waiting for the person to die. Far better to say "Roy Dotrice (born 1923), actor" and "Andy Priaulx (born 1976), motor racing driver".

It may be bad form, but it is fairly standard practice, GB. But when did we adhere to standard practice here? I've changed it to "born".

The Entry is now updated. The Edited Entry A590302 is now Opti's version, including the content of the original A590302 and also the original A167609.

Now I've some tidying up to do.
