A Conversation for The Perfect Picnic
Dogs

I think one of the important things is to check before you go and make sure the park allows dogs. Dogs love to get out, meet other people, and other dogs. It's a great chance to spend some quality time with your pet.
Of course, some parks don't allow them. None of the ones in my county do. Still, there are a lot of parks that do allow pets on leads. That's why when I write an article, I try to mention if a destinations pet friendly or not.
For instance, I reviewed McIntosh Reserve in Georgia. They allow dogs and horses. I'll write an article on the Ocmulgee National Monument which also allows pets. Most of our state parks in Georgia seems to welcome them.
Of course, it's common courtesy to bring a bag to pick up droppings along the way.
