A Conversation for How to Make and Enjoy a Very Good Margarita
An Easier Way

The Canadian margarita instructions above seem a little complicated. My wife & I here in Texas (near the beach at Galveston, not sure "fantastic" is the right word, but it is on the Gulf Of Mexico) usually just walk over to the margarita machine and turn the spigot. Holding a glass under the spigot is considered appropriate, at least early in the party.
If you insist on rolling your own, a good variation is the "Tequila Slammer":
- a glass 1.5" diameter, 4" tall
- fill 2/3 with tequila
- add grapefruit soda to fill ("Jalisco" in Mexico, Squirt in
the USA, Sprite in a pinch
- slam the glass on the table, when it foams up, chug it.
For music, try Robert Earl Keen's "The Road Goes on Forever (But the Party Never Ends)", or maybe "Swervin' in My Lane"
