Should I get one?

Marcus The Crazy Kiwi

Hi I have been wondering for a while about getting either an Ampallang, or a Dolphin or a Prince Albert, just what is the pain like and how long dos it take to do, and can anybody recommend some one in London? So what do you guys think I should get? And if I don't like it can I take it out?

Being a girlie, I don't know how much it hurts, although if it's comparable to nipples 'like hell' the instant it's done. It soon wears off though, although they are sore when knocked until they heal. You can take them out but you might be left with a scar, or even a small lump if all the lymph doesn't come out before the skin closes.

I am amazed people are willing to take those kind of risks for such an important part of the body. Ouch!

I was at the beach today, and one part of it had some naked people. One guy seemed to have put as much metal in his penis as he could. Not just a Prince Albert, judging by the short look I had, he was pierced in every place there was room for it down there. Amazing.

He must have a pretty powerful magnet handy, I guess. smiley - winkeye

I wonder if the chap does a 'Spinal Tap' every time he goes through a metal detector?

I guess that might be a problem, maybe magnets are needed. Walking along the beach I also walked past some old guy, who seemed to have nipple piercings and had tied some ropes to them where some big rocks were dangling from. Odd people.

as to your two concerns...its one of the least painful ones I've had...of 22...and it heals in a jiffy- gets all those nice warm salts baths every time you pee!
As to not liking it & removing it...sure! thats always an option with any piercing, and once it's totally healed you can put jewelry in & take it out according to whatever social situation you feel is appropriate! But I bet you will grow to love it and keep it in most of the time. Good luck! and GoForIt!

Yeah, everyone who has ever thought seriously about getting one should go right ahead and get it. Not just for the masochists anymore it is a great form of self expression and at the same time something very intimate to share with those close to you. I have a PA and 2 dydoes and I love them.
Don't be fooled though, they hurt! The healing process in nice and clean and the genitals are a suprisingly good place for an addition. Be prepared to bleed the first few nights and no rawkus activities for a few months. Dolphins, I'm told, are more painful as are ampallang's, if the pain doesn't bother you than I think the dolphin and PA's are the nicest. Go for a thick comfortable guage (about 8 or 10ga to start) and then stretch if you feel so inclined.
You will notice that the hole get bigger as time (and monkey business) goes on, you can take the jewel out and watch how fast the hoel begins to close up (a matter of hours). Proving that the tensile skin in the genital area is regenerative and can heal even after putting a hole in it.
AS I am Canadian I cannot recommend a place but [Unsuitable link removed by Moderator] has some good refernces so check it out.

Did your nipple piercing hurt??? I had my nipple pierced about 4 months ago now. However, me being an impatient sod decided to change it after a week because it wasn't hurting at all (apart from when i forgot i had it done and used my chest when playing football! Ouch!). I took the ring out and put a twisted hook in because that was my dream piece of jewellery! Nipple piercings can take up to 8 months to heal, I don't know the average time but i have never known anyones to heal within 4 months. Mine healed in 3 weeks. It was perfectly healed and didn't weep at all. I have changed it numerous times now and suggest to people if you want an intimate piercing and are too scared to have a genital piercing go for it. It's beautiful and mine didn't hurt (and i'm a bit of a wimp too!). It was my first piercing and one by a trainee in Manchester (the wonderful Helen at Studio in Afflecks Cheers Chuck!!)
