Beautiful..
You would laugh if you saw how much trouble it took me to type that..
Not used to a baby keyboard.. Need my split..
Unfortunatley my computer crashed.. I have to replace the motherboard and processor..
At least I have free access both at home and work though!
Always gotta look on the bright side..

sorry again. *sigh* i ended up spending the day helping my mom... she's just had surgery, and can't drive/lift things/walk well, so i'm her own personal slave for the next two weeks. *sigh*
i'll try and get it started now... if you have anything you'd like to write for it, please let me know.

Um, I finally wrote something about this.. but dont' know if it's even worth looking at.. but here:
Theatre technicians are basically that rather large group of people you don't see onstage, but are backstage making the show happen. There are usually three basic types of "techie"s - Designers, Slave Labor, and Running Crew.
Designers are the people who know lots of stuff. They go to school for this sort of thing, have lots of creative ideas, most of which are induced by trying to figure out how to make the director's ideas come to life.
Slave Labor are the people who actually build all the pretty set pieces you see, and paint them, and generally lift things, grunt, and do other bits of menial jobs. These people are not paid, generally, and sometimes get a misspelled mention in the program. They are more important than they get credit for, however, 'cos the designer certainly can't build the thing his or her self! They are usually college students going for extra credit or high school students who hang about with the theatre. This tends to be a school theatre phenomenon, though, and if we're talking about other theatres this responsibility tends to fall on the..
Running Crew. In addition to sometimes having Slave Labor duties, the Running Crew are the wonderful souls who actually hang about backstage -- usually a Stage Manager, a couple of assistants, Sound Operator, Lighting Operator, and assorted stagehands, depending on the set and amount of help available. The stagehands are wonderful people who do lots of moving things about and such.
Techies in general are fun-loving people who like their liquor and know how to get down.. but also know when it's time to work.
--that's all I've got so far and it's unedited, I really need to work on it when I'm not PMS-ing , but here's something.. tell me how much it sucks. --
Hope all is well with you, sea. Enjoying the Quest as ever.
