A Conversation for The Paul McCartney Death Clues

Since Easter I've only been online about 4 or 5 times, and never for more than 15 minutes I'm afraid - so sorry about not writing before now. It's still pretty much the same situation as before, though.

The Beatles were imfamous for their outrageous photos and album covers. Which really does spawn a lot of the clues and many other things of the sort.

well thanks for catching up, things here are much the same. Hope you get the chance to be online a bit more, and hope all's going well for you.

Hello again - yes, I've been drifting by for about 15 minutes every day or two this week - which is about enough time to go into 2 or 3 conversations on this old PC. So some things never change
I'm pretty much same as before - got a new job now working for Natwest, which is going quite well as the pay is better than I was getting before, and it is a friendlier office. My fiance is also going crazy planning our wedding at the moment, even though it won't be until 2005. I'm still up in Leeds, but it seems likely that we'll move back south again in the spring, so I'll be nearer friends and family again at last!
This weekend we're off to London to look around, visit the Tower and hopefully see what Daleks they are selling in the London Forbidden Planet!

Glad to hear about your job, I'm still doing the same thing, not much luck trying to have a baby.
Good news about Doctor Who comming back, I'm trying to build a Dalek at the moment, not got far just cut out the first couple of peices for the skirt, don't know how far I'll get, didn't think I'd get this far actually just thought it'd be nice to own a full sized dalek.
Oh and I've stared to read the first virgin new adventures, I read the first when it came out and started the second but never got far after that so i'm about half way though the second.

I'm hoping to finally be able to buy some Doctor Who merchandise at last - I've been seeing the ads in DWM each month "Dalek - due out July" only to find out in July it's now "Due out August!" "Due September!" etc., so hopefully they'll actually be on sale soon, especially the inflatable 4ft Dalek. Usless, but should be a lot of fun.
And then there's the BBC Wales Doctor Who Back On TV! rumours, which I'm trying not to get excited about. Okay, BBC Wales don't have the 3 million to spend that Fox did, but if it happens we won't see the cheesy American Frankenstien scenes or kissing with fireworks - so I'm looking to see what happens.
The thing I am very disappointed by DVD wise is Blake's 7, one of the boxsets due last July that I've been looking forward to getting for some time now and now has a release date of "Feb 2004".

I actually bought an inflatable dalek, called him bob.
A new series should be interesting, won't be quite the same though.
Looking forward to the cartoon on bbci. again interesting.
I'd like the blakes 7 dvds but like a number of stuff I'd like I have the videos and so seems a waste of money, and I'm buying the Doctor who dvds most of which I have the videos of.

Bluebottle Posted Oct 24, 2003
I only got about 8 Doctor Who videos in the end, so far the only one I've duplicated is "Ressurection Of The Daleks" (oh, and the two Peter Cushing films). In 20 years time when DVDs are replaced I won't bother getting them on the new format. Blake's 7 is something which I've watched on UK Gold but don't have, so I won't mind getting that on DVD.
I still haven't been able to have a proper look at the BBCi adventures, but I hope to get Shada on CD for Christmas. One Dalek I'm thinking of getting is the laser etched glass cube - I haven't seen the dalek one for real yet but laser etched cubes I have seen have looked very impressive...
That's the trouble - things in magazines never look exactly the same as in real life. So, how impressive is Bob?

bob's not bad, the eye stalk seems a bit droopy, and the bumps are painted on, but otherwise not bad.
I see they're re-releasinf let it be, as they originaly intended, should be interesting, I'm hoping someone will get it for my birthday, only problem it comes out a day after.......

I got both the inflatable dalek, which I have named Dave, and the glass one in London in the end, so I'm quite happy about that. I also had a good look around the Tower. I've always enjoyed visiting castles, and this summer I took my fiance Sarah to see all 15 castles in Yorkshire.

No, I don't think you did - so, what was it like being in Belgium? Is it true that the main television channel in Belgium is BBC1?
I wouldn't say that I've been out a lot - I've not been abroad since 1989 and never been to even Scotland or Wales! But I when we had the nice summer I did try to see if I could explore Yorkshire and see what there is to see in the area I'm in.
At the moment we're planning on getting our first car. We've saved up for about a year and now are ready to see what we can get - even though neither Sarah nor myself know anything much about cars.

Sorry I keep thinkig I've replyied when I haven't.
Belgium was good, flat, but good, went to see a football match, OK, didn't watch a lot of tv but BBC was on.
Well we got some info through about ivf to see if we can try for a baby, very expensive.
Stil trying to build a dalek, don't get a lot of time, and not driving means I'm a little limited. Oh well....

Yesterday Sarah and I went to Manchester for the day to see some of her friends from Uni (while I was there I popped into the Forbidden Planet and bought a "Robotic-Action Dalek" which is great fun as it lights up, moves around the kitchen floor and turns around whenever it bumps into anything ). We had a good time, but on the way back someone decided to throw a stone at the train - it cracked the outer pane of glass just inches from Sarah which promptly shattered, but fortunately the inner pane didn't seem to have been affected. Thank goodness for double glazed carriages...

blimey, sounds a bit close for comfort, glad your OK.
My birthday today, my wife gave me the beatles anthology dvds, got a crime traveller dvd from my mum, and went to see matrix revoloutions - not bad but kids running up and down, moving seats and talking a lot, someoine did go and complain, and a staff member sdaid something to them, didn't have much effect, I even complained myself, doubt it did much good, but they gave me some free tickets.
have you seen the doctor who cartoon, well the first episode, on the bbci cult pages?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It seems like a date I should remember I hope you enjoy watching Crime Traveller - I think it was a good series but haven't found anyone else who likes it, which I find a little depressing
Talking of the Beatles - I just got the new "Let It Be... Naked" album today - in fact I've spent this evening listening to it and writing a review of it which hopefully will appear in this week's post if you read it. I like it - but then I think I'm biased.
Unfortunately the PC I'm borrowing is an old P120 and doesn't seem able to cope with any of the Doctor Who webcasts, so I've missed out on all of them so far - but I hope to see it when it's released on TV or DVD

Thanks,
I liked crime traveller, not seen it since it was first on, started to watch tonight only my wife was tired so we'll continue tomorrow.
Would love to get Let It Be... Naked, my sister gave me a voucher so hopefully I will.
I didn't bother much with the first two DW web casts, but have the cd's now, They're not bad.
The IVF treatment my wife and I will be going for is going to leave us very short of cash, about £3,500 for the treatment, and then there's the days off work, the travel expenses and we may need to stay in a hotel sometimes, we could always extend the loan we have, but its not something I want to do, and if she does become pregnant, then it'll only be me bringing any money in. So it may mean cutting back on a lot of things.

That's the trouble with everything - there's never money or time to see and hear everything you'd want, and what you do get you only really see once as there's always so much more to get around the corner. And at the end of the day, how much do you really need? Friends, family etc are far more important than owning that DVD I guess - I just feel that being up in Leeds and with friends and family on the Isle of Wight, I don't see them and so have more free time as I tend not to go out much anymore.
I think another problem is that I still think of myself as being young - it's the student mentality. Not old enough to own a car, know how to drive, get my own house, settle down or have children - even though I'm starting to do those things and many of my friends who are younger than I am are married with mortgages, cars and children. I still find that all a little scary... Have you accepted that you're at that stage of life fully now?

Not really I'm 27 my wife is 43, though she's done a few things, I've done very little, I kind of feel that there's a lot of things I've missed out on and by the time I do get to do them I'll be too old.
