I agree it's interesting - and in a way it tells us more about humanity than it does the Beatles.
Although it also makes you notice their lyrics and album covers a lot more

yeah the first thing I did was to go and look at the covers and things, and noticed lots of things I haddn't done before, I wonder what they'd find if it had been john or george

As most of the clues don't neccesarily mention Paul specifially, they would have been re-used for George or John etc...
You could probably find more George orientated ones if you tried, you just have to be creative...
Fancy giving it a go, finding clues to "prove" George is dead?

There are lots of references to guns in Beatle's songs - perhaps that means that John Lennon shot George!

thanks the wedding day was great everything went pretty well, we stayed in the hotel where we had our reception for a couple of nights, so it was good,

I, we I should say, have now got a DVD player, thanks to the money people gave us, so I;ve been playing with that today

there were two freddie mercury dvd's I've had since christmas, and I bought two in a rush yesterday morning, hollow man which I wanted to see at the cimemar but never went and notting hill, more because my wife wanted it, and i'm going to get doctor who, robots of death because it looks like the only one out so far I don't have on video and have only seen once, dispite having a bad copy taped off sky, I did see a three movie dvd box which had 2010, but didn't,

the hotel was good we were greeted when we got there and were taken to the reception room and were introduced as we sat down to the meal, we stayed in the bridal suite, four poster bed, and such, but everything was great my wife is alreading planning to stay there on our annerversary next year!

I'm impressed that the Hotel Staff seemed so pleased to have you stay - good to know good service still exists.

But an impressive DVD collection so far... I'm not sure what Doctor Who one I'd get next - probably 5 Doctors, I think, but maybe not... I think I'll wait until they release the American Pilot and get that, it's supposed to have a lot of extras with it.

I've already got two editions of the five doctors, and rememberance of the daleks has a couple of effects missing, I read in the doctor who magizine, but I might get spearhead from space, the copy I have is from sky and not digtal sky and I taped all the episodes from uk gold from when it started, so lots of tapes and it all very messy, episodes missing, missing begginings, when the weather was bad you couldn't see the picture etc, etc........., I've been wanting to watch the silurains, but i want the colour version and have been looking for the video but maybe I'll wait for the dvd.......

I was thinking about getting "Spearhead" as I think I mentioned in the Spin-off's conversation, but I'm not sure. If I do get one, it'll either be that one or "The Five Doctors" - it's just that "The Five Doctors" is in a "3 for £30" offer in Virgin .
I got the Cybertin a couple of weeks ago, and was impressed on how they'd released the Tenth Planet part 4 - it was much better than I expected it to be, and was definatly enjoyable. It is true there were sequences when you really wished you could see what was happening, but it was quite convincing. If only they released more that only had a few episodes missing!

I was very annoyed when I heard that they would not be realeasing part four of the tenth planet in all of its audio form on the video, but only as an edited version, like they did with the ice warriors, so I was very happy that in the end they did, I was quite impressed with the episode my wife wasn't so much though,

it seem that every time they re-release a dw title they inprove anything they can in the time they have, reading around the various sites, I'd much rather watch the episode like they did with the tenth planet than have sombody narrating the missing part and have a seperate cd with it

The first Doctor Who video I bought, as opposed to recorded off TV, was "The Daleks". The first I recorded off TV was "Planet of the Daleks". Yes, I was a Dalek brat
I definately felt as if I got a good idea of what was going on from "The Tenth Planet" - the audio soundtrack with picture card approach I found extremely effective. It was quite an experience to see "The Tenth Planet" myself for the first time, although I knew roughly what happened, I hadn't seen or read the exact plot before. So far I've only managed to find 15 Target books. Im starting to collect the Virgin NAs when I find them, which all depends on what the second-hand shops around here can find. But I'm doing quite well.
And I am impressed with what the BBC are doing for Doctor Who - although I felt that extras such as the Saturday Superstore interview on "Attack of the Cybermen" (and others) would be better if placed after the actual story. But that's the beauty of DVD - you can watch what you wish when you wish, and it is impressive that the BBC do put extras on VHS as well. So I agree that they definately do all they can to improve their release in the time they have.

I have read the tenth planet quite a while ago I did have a lot of the novels but when we got sky and I started to tape them, I stopped reading them and only went for the ones that had missing episodes, which I haddn't seen, I bought the two daleks books that came out power and evil, that were only just novelised a few yerars ago so I read them and then listened to the tapes of the episodes,

Have you watched Shada, I found the video hard to follow, but i found out that there was a novelisation in a dwas fanzine so I bought the six editions of it, it was in and read it and then watched it again, the video seemed to go faster than I could follow

I've just watched spearhead, a lot better the the copy I had before, I'd like to get the silurains, the copy I have is black and white I'd love to see it in colour

I haven't seen Shada, no. Strangely enough, I had a discussion with someone not long ago about what Doctor episode was broadcast nearest to your birth, and I was born on 18th January 1980 - just after they were due to show Shada, had it been finished. So that is definately one I'm very interested in seeing - especially with the Douglas Adams connection. I must admit my opinion of Douglas Adams went down by his attitude towards the novelisations of his scripts. I wonder how they got around it in DWAS?

I've decided to buy the novelisations second hand, as that way I can afford a lot more than buying the videos new, and watching the Tom Baker episodes on UK Gold. When they get to Peter Davison I'll hopefull start recording an episode each week - our video's playing up at the moment but it should be fixed by then. I wish I had the money to buy the original soundtracks, the Big Finish audios and the BBV series - I guess that if you started about 10 years ago it's easy to just get the new release, but it's almost impossible to get the lot from scratch!
That's one reason why, if I decide I do wish to collect the DVDs, starting to get them now would be a good idea because otherwise there'd be too many of them to get for me to cope with, and the early releases may have sold out.
