You may be interested to know that the soundtrack album for The Italian Job was released on CD just before Christmas. It's only about half an hour long but it's still bloomin' worth it guv! Lots of incidental music from the film as well as ‘On Days Like These’ and ‘Getta Bloomin' Move On'.
So jump into the old Cooper S, get down to the record shop and get it bought!

Oh, did you not get the message about Aunt Nellie's funeral? We were all told then...
Sewer sequence, more details.

It was made in Coventry. The mini's were lowered into the sewer then under construction in Stoke Aldermoor (this sewer pipe is now under an un-used football and rubgy field next to the London - Coventry main train line) and the mini's ran to the Finham Sewerage works where they came out of the pipe.
There is a widely circulated story that a mini that crashed/had a flat tyre/engine gave out and was abandoned in the tunnels. The story that a mini was left down there is very much an Urban legend indeed.
There are access tunnels which would allow you entry to those tunnels still in Stoke Aldermoor but it would take at least 3 strong adult men to open the access gates.
I note you didn't mention the cut scene of the dancing mini's which features as a deleted scene on the dvd (if you don't own, I highly recommend you buy it) either.
