did you know they've recently remodelled the Brownie programme? I help lead a Brownie unit and the changes are just weird
they got rid of the journeys and freda the elephant and the birthday badges. they even changed the bagdes and the brownie story and there are new bits to the uniform.
has anyone else seen these changes and what do you think?

Yeah. Thought so.
Some of the new uniform's not bad. Beats the wee brown dress they used to have.

i help out at a brownie unit and im not convinced that the changes are that good, but at least its better than the change to the guide programme and uniform, the new guide uniform doesn't look like a uniform at all, completly navy except for a tiny bit of red, which might have been the intention but i dont see what was wrong with the blue sweatshirts from before.
the new brownie interest badges are so large that a brownie only needs about 6 badges to fill her sash, but at least the uniform tell you that they are brownies.

We were disscussing this at our county training weekend along with retirement age for guiders. A lot of guiders feel the same

I've noticed at Thinking Day it's so messy with rugby shirts and hoodies and all the other bits. It's just not the same. And those Brownie badges are too big I agree, but at least they're more colourful than the last ones.
Key: Complain about this post
