"Just this guy" did a very comprehensive entry on Leonard Cheshire - the man - who, I think, changed the face of the 20th Century. What are his chances of getting nominated for one of the greatest ever Britons??

Slim, I think - especially since Robbie Williams was voted more influential than Mozart in the Music of the Millennium poll.

Sadly I fear you are right. can you think of anyway we might persuade the Beeb to, at least list Leonard amongst the nominees? Apart from Douglas Adams though is there anyone more suitable??

Sorry, but my vote has to be for Robert Hooke, my favourite scientists (even above Faraday, which is saying a lot for an electrical engineer).
