I just thought it was important to add that Lister also enjoys lager (a lot)

Yeah.....but it's still a shame they had to use it for firewood. What episode was that??

What about Kochanski? No one ever remembers her. She came back in series 7 and rimmer left.

But they didn't; Lister cut a guitar-shape out of the back of Rimmer's camphor-wood trunk ; )

Or Holly, he (or she, depends which season) doesn't get much of a mention either. And who Grey Area who said Lister means to play the guitar, you are forgetting the immortal Om song!!!

How does Holly change to a girl? I still haven`t managed to see the episode where it happens.

In the last episode of the second series the crew enter a parallel universe where they another Red Dwarf that has a female Rimmer, Lister and Holly (called Hilly.)
When the third series starts we are told that Holly has changed to look like Hilly. The idea is it was some sort of tribute to his new love for Hilly.
Funny that, as they never bothered to make an excuse for the change in Kochanski from Claire Grogan to Chloe Annet when she comes back in Series 7.

Ah. I saw the parrallell universe thing but so far I haven`t seen any of the third series so it was a bit confusing.

While we're on the subject, what *does* 'smeg' mean? I know it has a meaning, just not exactly what. Is it connected with smegma? (loo it up!)

Yes, and don't you just hate it when a young relative comes in when you are watching Kryten trying to say 'smeg' and start on the whole 'what's he saying? what does that mean? why? why? why? why?' thing. Heh. Ooh, ps, the latest on the movie is that it'll be released in 2001 - fingers crossed!
See you @ Dimension Jump 2000!

Does anyone know what Kryten's alert colors are? I remember "Periwinkle" but I would like to know the rest. I forgot which series it is in or the episode name, but it is the one where Kryten crashes on a planet and he removes his hand and sends it back to RD. Can someone help me?

Pah! Red Dork, we can shout our lines at each other, therfore we can act, therfore we are funny, NOT!

Thanks for that incisive critique, Proff!
I'm going off right now to erase all my Red Dwarf tapes.
How can I have been so blind?
We worker drones can be made to laugh at anything where they repeat the word 'smeg' a few times.
I must catch up on all the devastatingly amusing comedy series that you referenced as worthy from your high promontory.
Oh...you didn't.
Guess that's the end of humor on TV then.
