The friend of my enemy is my ally but not my friend.

The enemy of my enemy is not my friend but a diplomatic associate. The friend of my friend is not my friend but my adversary at the UN Security Council. Business-wise, my competitors and I have had to band together in a trade protection group to fend off attacks on our bottom line by companies that are not directly competing with us but making products that subsume the functions of our complete line of innovative yet traditional products. We're thinking of suing them for being on the same planet.
