How come noone has mentioned Duncan Idaho? After all, he's the only character to appear in all the original novels. What a guy!

It's true - he has (well, if you don't count the new Butlerian Jihad prequels) appeared in all the novels, but as I was writing about the film of "Dune" and his role is very limited in it, I didn't give him that much of a mention in the article. But I am surprised that no-one who has written more regarding this article has mentioned him that much.

Yep. Duncan Idaho was a great character. Criminally underused in both film versions.

Duncan's character is very important. The update on his back ground in the prequel books only enhances the character in the original books.
