A Conversation for 'Dune' - the Film

What is the Dune movie being advertised on video now?
It does not look like an 80's film - it looks like a brand new film, and it is advertised as coming out this summer (in the UK).
If it is to be true to the book it has to be a long film, or several shorter films.
A lot of the story is missed in films made from books. I hope this hasn't happened in this case.

I assume you mean the TV series that was made last year. Where have you seen it advertised? Is it on sale in America? I'm from the UK, and so far it hasn't been shown here, or advertised - and I really want to get a copy of it!

The Sci Fi miniseries came out last december i beleive. I dont remember, I was looking forward to it till i saw the first part.
Well I have seen copies in movie stores/rentals. I know that theres a VHS, im not sure on DVD. Only thing is I live in America. If youre from oversees maybe you can buy a copy of the VHS somewhere, i dont know if they will show it on TV/theatres. I highly suggest you find out whether you would enjoy the movie before you buy it because its under high criticism from Dune fans on authenticity. I only saw the first part, so I cant say much. Hope I helped.

I think you can get it on DVD from [URL removed by moderator] When I next get paid, I'll probably get it.
The trouble is that there are, so far, no plans to show it in the UK as there was so much criticism in the US, so getting it may be the only way to see it.
