Okay, I'll go try right now. I'm not making it up, I'm really going outside to try. This is interesting.
*time lapses*
Alright, I got a good 4 inches. There was a wind in my favor, though, so I'm not sure it was very accurate. Still, my hopes are high. Thank you for walking me through this.

Back in high school, I took marching/concert band. On one especially difficult concert piece, across the top, I wrote "practice makes perfect". During a harrowing one on one tutouring session with the band director, he scratched it out and replaced my words with "RIGHT practice makes perfect".
What that has to do with this, I couldn't tell you. Seeing as I am male and we instinctively know the proper technichs, (and I doubt there are many good instuctional manuals on the subject), perhaps you could get some insight by observation.
Are there any heavy contruction crews near you? It has been my experience that they are the best!

Not to change the subject, ARSE all the way, but if spitting is instinctive to males, why isn't putting the (you know what) seat down instinctive as well?? Inquiring minds want to know . . .

Construction crews? They may be instinctive in spitting, but if you're a girl, you know they're instinctive in other obnoxious stuff too, and that you should stay away. I think I'll just observe my boyfriend and his buddies... if he lets me. I don't know if he wants me spitting.
ARSE, is what I say to people like that.

Instinctive behavior is, most times, based on the needs of the creature it affects. Men don't need the seat down, therefore there has been no cause for nature to develope that instinct in us.
And Fenchurch......all us construction guys aren't like that! I know some of us who are gentlemen. But, I compleatly understand your preference for watching your boyfriend! I'm sure he will teach you well!

I've been meaning to post a link on my page to ARSE, but I don't know where it should point. This forum? Fenchurch's page? Anyone want to take up the baton?
(Not me - my plate is full already)
Oh, and I finally got around to reading the rule we are protesting.

uh . . don't you need that seat down . . some of the time . . ? couldn't you just put it down, just in case next time was THE TIME?

More times than not, it needs to be up. I have develoed a "compromise" though. Once nature is taken care of, I lower BOTH levels. If I have to raise one, then she does too!

I got the ARSE page. I'll make it right now... it'll be a work of art, and hey, since Jim seems to fancy my page, we might get some RESULTS! . Well, that or all of a sudden he won't fancy my page as much... you know what I mean.

Actually, advertising has attracted my attention... . I guess marketing could work...
I forgot to mention the $150 US a month visitor's pass, giving you discounts of up to 20% a meal at some of the world's top restaurants!

Yes, you did forget to mention that. Luckily for me, membership in GIRR includes a free membership in ARSE......

Works for me! If folks start charging for membership in protests, and I can't get around them, it will seriously cramp my style!
