I have enjoyed reading your entry very much and wolves is a subject that is very dear to me.

There have been proposals to bring back wolves into the wild since 2002 to help keep the red deer population down but there has been opposition from farmers.

I too watched the programme about 'Mr & Mrs Wolf'. How envious I am. I love dogs and have always respected and admired wolves. Shame on the USA for thinking of re-introducing culling again. Let's hope that a re-introduction programme will be succesful, it would be a wonder to see these creatures roaming free again.

They are truely magnificent creatures, who can learn a lot from. My late father was also very fond of wolves and I have adopted a wolf. I have joined a wildlife pressure group where I learnt about the wolf cull especially in Alaska, I hope that they will end this brutal cull.

How privilaged you are to have adopted a wolf. I know the campaign regarding the hunting of wolves in Alaska, I too have signed the partition. Let's hope the government will take notice, though I'm not holding my breath.

I too love dogs, and when I was little I had an unique dictionary where there were pictures all different breeds of dogs. When I was a child my favourite tv films where all about Lassie.

I too hope that the Alaskan goverment take notice, I thought things would have changed with the change of President.

So you had that little book on dogs as well! I remember it, I had one. As dogs were always in the family, I cannot be without one. Have recently adopted a X GSD from the RSPCA. Did you see the programme on TV some time ago with Martin Clunes called "A wolf in your living room". It was fasinating and the more you look at the behaviour of dogs, the more you see the wolf come out.

I hope the new President does something to protect the wolf in Alaska, I suppose there is a lot to sort out at the moment what with the economy but as long a people keep signing the petitions, there is hope.

Opti, I also watched Martin Clunes called "A wolf in your living room", it was a very good programme. Even dogs howl very similar to wolves. I have never managed to imitate the wolves howl.
