As a Europen, I had very little exposure to Kimchee, or anything Korean, until I moved to Taiwan and started to visit frequently our Korean office.

I went through all stages :
- disgustsmiley - ill
- physical painsmiley - wah
- distastesmiley - yuk
- tolerancesmiley - sadface
- "this kimchee is different from that kimchee"smiley - erm
- "this kimchee is better than that kimchee"smiley - smiley
- "What should I bring home... Hmmm... Kimchee !"smiley - ok
- sudden cravings for kimchee in the middle of Wintersmiley - cool

What is the next stage ? Addiction ?

cafram - in the states.

ugh...I was only in Korea 7 weeks or so, and I just couldn't make myself like kimchee. I think it was the pickled cabbage more than the chilli part of it - I definately preferred the spinach or sprouts over the cabbage variety! My favourite Korean dishes would definately have to be doenjang tchigae and bibimbap....unfortunatley Australia lacks any sort of decent Korean restaurants! smiley - sadface
