You've given a kind of pros + cons of the facility bit, but what did you think of the part of the game that revolves around the alien world? Ridiculously difficult? Annoying? Groovy? I must admit that the first time I played the game I used the cheats, but second time round I didn't and I must say that the alien world bit requires a hell of a lot of patience.

Most people thought that was the weaker part of the game... it didn't have the, hmmm, compelling realism of the earlier parts...
I thought it was fun, but I admit to finding it fairly tough... and agree that the earlier bits were better.

I thought they where pretty weak, the bits on the alien world. It's not as tense as the rest of the game. When Aliens can come from air vents, or can be around the corner, its usually quite tense, but in the alien world it wasn't a tense, partly because most of it is open spaces, so the aliens could never creap up on your, if everything is in the open.

Very true. There were a few nicely creepy bits on Xen, but the atmosphere was generally better in the earlier bits...

all the bits on Xen are stupidly difficult.
I never completed this game without cheating and totally refuse to believe it actually is possible to do so.
there are far too many aliens, not enough health, stupidly impossible jumps.
