A Conversation for Conspiracy Theories
The Moon landings
Amanda Posted Feb 10, 2003
What has made us so dis-trusting of the governments of this planet?
Why do we not believe them anymore? Did we ever believe them?
It is quite possible that we went to the moon.
I think.

There is a law of probability that says that whatever theory has the most proof to support is the theory that is factual. All there is to say we did go the Moon is a government that is full of compulsive liars(the reason we don't trust them), a few rocks, the word of people that are most likely under threat of death and the launches of a rocket. The proof against the alleged event is alot greater and more definite. Ergo...

If wallace and Grommet managed to get to the moon on a window cleaners budget i'm sure the worlds greatest superpower would have no need to pretend, now would they?
And besides... politicians dont tell fibs.

"The proof against the alleged event is alot greater and more definite"
... left literally speechless by this wonderful piece of logic...
... what on earth can one say after a comment like that...

Agreed, no offense to anyone but all the evidence that I've seen has either been circumstancial or based on the fact that since the gov. denyed it, it must be true.

I confess I've only read the first and last pages of this thread, but has anyone mentioned this reason the moon-landing conspiracy theory can't be true?
There is no way to silence the large number of ground staff who would have to have been in on the deception.
What a whistle to blow, so easy, damning evidence. No blowers.
Keeping the ground staff ignorant would have taken even more staff.

i remember seeing something on tv that said that a few members of nasa went missing because they said they would tell everyone so nasa killed them, so the rest of the crew would have kept their yaps shut

Don't laugh; it might have been NASA the dance troupe rather than NASA the aerospace organisation... I've always been suspicious of professional dancers...

I had convinced myself, in the quest to convince myself that the moon landings were faked, that they were infact not faked.
I have changed my mind.

I looked at the hoax website and got a big bunch of s**t. NASA's website was ok though.
That makes the score Astronauts 1, WorryWarts zippo!

I've been off snorting metaphorical cocaine so here it goes, one response at a time.
1:Wallace and Gromit was a cartoon. A fictitious storyline where things that can't happen, happen.
2:NASA wouldn't have to keep the ground staff quiet because as far as they were concerned they really were sending men to the moon.
3:All politicians do is tell fibs. Its implied, obligatory, a living.
4:There is no !@#$ing way in any form of hell that you believe in that we went to the moon.
I will now go snort the rest of my coke.

I think it's time to user the same inspired rhetoric that this thread has showcased in the past.
"Wallace and Gromit" is not a cartoon. It's two characters in an award-winning series of clay-mation shorts. If you can be *that* wrong in point 1 then we have no confidence in your accuracy over points 2 through 4.
