I've been involved in complaints to call centres where I was, with good reason, extremely angry [for instance, my bank sent my personal bank statement to my ex husband!] and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold with calming classical music!

I immediately knew what they were doing but it made me smile and actually did change my demeanour by the time I spoke to the supervisor.

My advice though is that even when you have very just cause to be angry, acting angry to a call centre operator is very unlikely to get you what you want.
