You wouldn't believe it but I lived at Ythanwells for many years - underneath the Hill of Tillymorgan in a lovely Steading. I wonder if there are any more coincidences about !
I spent many happy hours at Forvie (and Cullen Bay, MacDuff, Banff sands etc, etc)

No, now you're stretching things too far! The source of the Ythan?
I've spent a number of holidays in Aberdeen - hence the trips to Forvie. But I never get past Forvie, so I've not been to the Banff area. Cruden bay is the furthest north I've been on the east side of Scotland. We stayed at Leith Hall (in the holiday apartment) once, however,that's not far from Ythanwells.

S'true - honest. Bilbo farm (yes really) you can see it on maps and stuff. There is supposed to a Roman expeditionary fort up on Tillymorgan somewhere.
